i wanna start this diet cause even though im not overweight (5 ft 9 - 170lbs) my optimal weight should be at 160 ish, ive been running every day for 45 minutes for 3 weeks and nothing, so this might be a good idea
i always watched my CALORIE intake but since that doesnt work, ill watch the Carb intake
Congrats on your success by the way.

For the protein shakes question, during the first 2 or 3 months no. After that, I might occasionally add whey protein into the diet, but it was not a regular occurrence. I would rather eat my protein in the form of real food not a powder.

I have made a breakfast video that details what I eat quite often for breakfast -- chicken fajita salads, stir-frys, sausage with cheese, etc.
As for dinner and supper, it was sometimes more of the same -- or cheeseburger bakes or low carb pizza, which are items that take a bit more time to make. Breakfast was usually fast items to make and eat, but dinner could take longer with Fauxtatoes, or faux fried rice with a meat of some sort, like steak, chicken, roast beef, etc.

so what did your regular breakfast, lunch and dinner meals include at first? did you buy those protein shakes?

Congrats on being ten pounds down already! That's the funny thing about weight loss we stress over when it goes too fast and too slow. Just be assured that you will keep going to goal if you follow the plan. You are on the right route. Good job!

How many pounds do you have to lose? Most people lose about 5-10% of their intended weight loss on Induction? Please give your stats, and we can perhaps see if there is cause for alarm. Just remember the weight didn't come on over night, and some of the biggest losers like Redneck500 lost 10-15 pounds on week 3 and 4. |
